• No. We welcome children of all abilities. We are happy to work with you to determine if our program is a good fit for your child, if needed.

  • Each practice is one hour. Each week, we follow our unique Fast Feet curriculum with the following activities:

    • Introductions

    • Group Warm-Up

    • Drills: combination of plyometrics, jumping exercises, speed & endurance, agility exercises, cool down/stretch

Our experienced coaches and volunteers create a fun, social environment, and choose activities where each child can be successful. You can watch this video to visualize what a practice session looks like.

  • Athletic shoes and attire; clothing they feel comfortable in while running and jumping.

  • No, parents/caregivers are expected to stay for the duration of practice.

  • Yes! We welcome participants of all abilities. Please let us know if there are other forms of communication your child uses (i.e. signs, PECS, etc.) and we will do our best to accommodate their needs.

We also provide social stories to each family at the beginning of the season to help prepare the participants for practice. ASL interpreters are available as well, upon request.

  • Absolutely! You are more than welcome to try out a class and see if it’s a good fit. Please email Danielle@fastfeetnyc.com or Suzie@fastfeetnyc.com to schedule a trial class.

  • We welcome your presence on the track if you feel that your child is in need of added support and structure. We ask that you work with us to determine what is best for your child and keep in mind the experiences of the other children in the program. We also provide program volunteers to support each athlete and provide 1:1 guidance to ensure they are engaged and having fun.

  • We encourage participants to take a break at any time. We provide participants with volunteer support as needed (whether it’s 1:1 or in small groups). We differentiate each practice to meet the unique needs of each child, encouraging individuals to take breaks and move at their own pace as necessary.

  • We strive to keep costs affordable for families. We accept all Self-Direction payments. Each outdoor season (spring, summer and fall) is eight weeks long and costs $160 or $20 per class. Our winter seasons vary from 6-8 weeks and costs between $120-$160 or $20 per class.

As we are a non-profit organization, registration fees are used for program operation expenses (equipment, uniforms, coaching expenses, insurance, race entries, etc.)

  • Yes, registration fees for the entire session are paid online upon completion of the registration form. If you need financial assistance or have questions about committing to the full season schedule, please email suzie@fastfeetnyc.com or danielle@fastfeetnyc.com.

  • Before committing to a full season, we suggest participating in a free trial class for any new family interested in our program. Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund once the season has started and a payment is made.

  • Safety is our number one priority on the track. All Program Directors are SafeSport certified and background checked. All volunteers 18 years and older are background checked. Embedded into our training are best practices, such as providing a first aid kit, the appropriate volunteer to participant ratios and ensuring participants maintain a safe distance from one another. We teach our athletes “track etiquette” to ensure body awareness and courtesy to others on public tracks.
