Suzie is the founder and executive director of fast feet NYC
Suzie is a runner, an educator, and a coach. In her previous role as Director of Youth Running and Track and Field Programs for a youth sports organization, she implemented multiple youth running programs and coached 200 student-athletes in NYC. It was in this role that she launched a running program and taught a track and field physical education curriculum at two schools that serve students with special needs. These unique experiences allowed Suzie to discover her passion for supporting student-athletes with autism spectrum disorder and developmental differences.
Suzie ran cross country and track for Wake Forest University, receiving All-ACC Academic Team honors, and was an All-American track runner in high school. She still trains and competes as a sub-elite competitive athlete for Nike NYC. While obtaining a Master of Science degree in Adolescent Education, she was a public school math teacher and developed over 10 middle and high school teams working with New York Road Runners. Her master's thesis studied the positive correlation between after-school running teams and in-class performance among middle school student-athletes. Suzie is devoted to educational equality and strives to remove limits through running among the autism spectrum disorder and developmental differences population.
